1959 Belfast Street Directory
EWART'S ROW
at 293 Crumlin Road (1b) and also from Ewart's Place to Antigua Street
Clifton, North Belfast
Oldpark, NI

48          KINEAID Andrew, labourer

That's my grandad, though the name was actually Kincaid   He died in 1986, aged 90.
Just had a fine old time reading this lot out to my mum over the phone - if we'd stopped for a story about all the ones she knew, I'd still be reading next week! Jogged some great memories. I've sent a copy to my aunt and uncle, so expect they'll be similarly thrilled. Thanks so much.

  Glad your mum enjoyed hearing the names.  It's amazing what you can forget until your memory is jogged.  Not sure why the name is misspelt; could have been my eyes or fingers that werent working or whoever put in into the directory.  When I read this thread I remembered typing Ewart's Row for someone else on the forum. Let me know if you need any other info.  Noticed you were asking about Bann Street from the 1914 directory.  My granny lived in Bann Street for many years until she died in 1972.

Thank you for replying dimples. My name is Eddie Morrison from Louisa St. Please tell Sylvie I was asking about her too. I now live in Canada and I haven't seen Margaret in over 40 years. Sometimes I meet people from the Oldpark area here and they ask me about her, they still remember us going together and still envy me(tee hee). Anyway please give her my best and thanks again dimples.    Eddie
