Oh Victor How sad that you have to live in a place you obviously hate.   I could live anywhere, it really would not matter to me. ..However if I found that I did not like the place I lived in I would surely move. .

I'm sorry your son cannot find work after studying for four years to get a degree in History. Maybe he should have considered the career opportunities for those with such a degree before embarking on such a course. The same applies to the large numbers of currently unemployed graduates who studied the likes of drama, media studies and social anthropology, to name but a few

What did he hope to do after he left university? What advice did he seek before embarking on his academic studies? How many openings were normally available locally/globally in his chosen career path?  How widely was he prepared to travel? What did he do during the academic breaks to build up his experience and make himself more marketable?

Your on for a pint or six McNamee when I come home in August.  It won't be the first time I have been thrown in or out of the Crown and it will be one place I will have a pint in.  I have great memories of Wee Sam, Tiger, Edd McCoy and others crammed into a snug with trays of drink lifted over the top cause they couldn't get in.  They all had to go and play at the Jazz Club or the Maritime
