An Irish Jesuit priest from Dublin, who saved the lives of members of the original Ulster Volunteer Force during the First World War.

An army chaplain who repeatedly went into no man's land to drag soldiers back to safety during the Great War.

Father Willie Doyle, Reverend Temporary Chaplain 4th Class, William Joseph Gabriel Doyle, M.C., Mentioned in Despatches, Army Chaplains Department, 1873-1917,... recommended for a posthumous Victoria Cross.

The most obvious answer is Henri Cartier-Bresson but I dont know what the Liverpool connection is..Murph
