Sally dont know what you call it at home (maybe cling wrap ?)  and grease proof paper between each slice before it goes in the freezer

With you now love!  Cling Film or Cling Wrap  ;)

OK here is the recipe for Veggie Roll......2 lb mince steak, 2 cups bread crumbs, 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. Pepper, 1/2 tsp. Ginger, 1/2 tsp. Mace, 1 beaten egg, 1/4 cup water. Finely chopped scallion, finely chopped Tomato (Without the seeds). Mix well and form into a long roll in Plastic wrap and place in freezer for one hour. Remove and cut into slices putting wax paper between each slice and return to freezer untill you want to use it. Without the Veg. it is Lorne Sausage or Scotish square sausage. Enjoy. :air_kiss:

The vegetable roll was  well worth the effort. I used sydenhambetty's recipe mostly. Used pork mince, left out the egg and water and added 1/2 teaspoon of thyme. I used 6 or 8 cruskits (cant remember exactly) I reckon they're close enough to rusks, ;)  for a filler. I grated them into the mix and added, cos I like it, some extra freshly ground black pepper. One other thing. The scallion had quite a large bulb on it.

here is the result
before going into the freezer

Not a proper fry of course
Just a try out for the vegetable roll and I couldn't just fry that now could I ?
