I'am not so sure, put Jim Allister against him and there could be a surprise outcome !
Yes,... and another possible factor with that might be that about 30% of the constituency are Catholics,... many of whom might not usually vote in constituency elections because it is such a safe DUP seat, and presumably most of them would prefer a nationalist representative,... but a larger proportion than usual of the Catholic voters might vote, and might vote for an alternative Unionist candidate, as a protest vote to try and defeat Mr. Paisley.

With respect to you Exbuckfastdrinker-and your views on a lot of various issues -why don`t you stand yourself and sort
out all these things that you feel so strongly about.
We all know on the Forum exactly what your pet causes are.
I am not being frivolous-I am of an age now that these issues have no interest for me-but they do have for your age group
and younger.
Therefore,that is why I post to you as I have done.

Jim Allister has ran against Paisley in the past. He didn't win then and I very much doubt he would win now. Much as Jim talks a good war, he doesn't have the troops.  :D

Here's what Jim thinks.  ::)

 ::)  One might reasonably expect that with all of that extra funding for staff that the news page of his website might contain some content that is more recent than January 11 2016. !

He also appears to have forgotten to mention that he is no longer currently a DUP Parliamentary spokesman.  ::)

Ian Og could make history as the very first MP to lose his seat as a result of a petition of recall.  What a man  :P :P :P

Sounds like another great waste of taxpayers money. If he's going to stand again and 'walk it' why bother wasting taxpayers money ? This is the kind of thing the politically obsessed get excited about, when everyone else is rolling their eyes and thinking how the money might be better spent.

The issue is surely not that he took a freebie holiday, but rather, that he then lobbied on behalf of the Sri Lankan government or private companies, or whatever.

It's a bit of a moot point, but exactly what did he lobby for ?

He has no chance of losing his seat ,it's Ballymena we are talking about .I think if he had murdered someone they would still vote for him   .it's a PAISLEY we are talking about .Better still I bet he gets elected by a very big majority ,even if he is and independent .
But the DUP will never kick him out  :( :-\ :-\ :spiteful: :spiteful: :spiteful:
