BELVOIR PARK HOSPITAL BELFASTThere appears to be some confusion on this thread as the pictures posted of Belvoir Hospital are of just that. Purdysburn is close but it is a completely different hospital and now Called Knockbracken Hospital.
Hi welder, done a wee bit of hoking the webb as I have a loose connection to that general area. In the death notice it says he died from Scarlatina which as you know is another word for scarlet fever. In relation to the Donegall Road Military Hospital which seemed to have existed from September 1940 until July 1943. The records on that hospital are held at the National Archives at Kew. What in recent years was known as Belvior Park Hospital and Purdysburn Fever Hospital was opened in 1906 as Belfast City Infectious Diseases Hospital. Appreciate its maybe not much but if it helps a wee bit well good.Regards Cookstown.
