Facing the Hercules Bar was the Speedy cleaners, and next door down was Scholls.

The Executive Hairdressers....made a pleasant change from Rab Maguires Sawyer's window with exotic fish on display....and a record shop where I bought..Now Thats What I call Music 1 (think its at 77 now)

Record shop was David Harrisons.  A true gentleman when you got to know him.

The shop at Marquis Street was a Fish Mongers who did the cooked chickens on the Spit (Great Stuff at the time).

Hunter's Shop, Ken's Chippie (First time I ever tasted a sort of curry - anyone remember???), Lipton's supermarket, the memories are fantastic - i can smell the place!!!

What about the Driving School that was next door to Victor's???

O'Boyle had a Holy Shop and Jewellers shop in Chapel Lane as well as the First Communion Shop at Castle Street.

The shop on the corner just below O'Boyle's was a gents clothes shop - got wrecked one 8th of August and the manikins etc ended up on the Bonfire on the old car park at Hamill Street Corner - everyone else ended up kitted out with new gear lol - think that was about 1975 or there abouts.

Nearly sure it was Castle Street Mews - the McMahon Family owned it and lived up at the corner of Townsend Street and Divis Street - they still live around that area - Barrack Street/Durham St - although I don't think they own any bars etc nowadays
