« on: March 07, 2011, 12:26:55 AM »
 Did anyone ever hang about the cityhall with all the Skinheads and go into the YMCA and Lord Hamil burger Bar, and travel up and down the Shankill in large groups on the buses

Theres a couple of Ballymurphy Skins (Kelly's Corner Skins) there as well. Dee Begley and Junior Lavery. Very fond memories of those days. Remember going to Lord Hammills and being escorted through town by the RUC going to the Cliftonville games.

Still love the music - listen to it almost every day on my iphone.

Great memories

Aye they were just like the tartan gangs, better avoided. But as usual they were only dangerous when there were a bunch of them. On their own they were pussies.

Please don't confuse this with the cat thread.

the early to mid 70s was the hayday for gangs such as bootboys, skinheads, suedeheads, mods. in this country the bootboys fashion of skinners, dms etc lasted right up until the late 70s when the 2nd wave of skins and mods came about. for whatever the reason this era of the cult gets alot more recognition.
