Balticboy.   I knew the area well, used to deliver Co-Op milk there, 1940's   I googled "Memel St" and came up with this.

Other hon. Members have made it...: 23 Jul 1979: House of ...     www.theyworkforyou.com/debate/?id=1979-07-23a.203.3Cached You +1'd this publicly. Undo23 Jul 1979 – It is the lower Newtownards Road area of East Belfast. ... The second project is also a redevelopment area, known as RDA23, in the Memel Street ... We were then promised that that phase would start in November of last year.

Memel Street features in an old black and white English Movie called 'Jacqueline' starring John Gregson. One scene is filmed beside that railway arch at the entrance to the street. .  I'm presuming it was a railway arch, maybe I'm wrong.
No answer is an answer.

The Clarkes came from Memel Street. They had cousins also who went to sea but their name escapes me. Think it may have been Spence.

Yes, you can find them all here, select a year, say, 1951, look up each street and you will see:

Further to above, all the streets you mentioned are shown below.  For comparison with modern map, note Queen's Bridge at top left, Albert Bridge at bottom right:

My father was Robert James Clarke (Jim) one of your grandads brothers. We emigrated to Australia in the 60's. I just about remember the arch and your grandad's house. I know your great grandfather was killed in the Belfast blitz but would like to know about his wife. That generation kept things close to their chests. :)
